Limitations

FAQ

Do the weights need to add up to 100%?

For a full course estimate, yes. If they do not total 100%, the calculator can still show a partial weighted result, but the estimate should be treated carefully.

Can this handle dropped assignments?

No. A basic weighted grade calculator assumes the category score you enter already reflects any dropped assignments or gradebook rules.

Is this the same as GPA?

No. Weighted course grade estimates a percentage course result. GPA depends on school-specific grade points and credit rules.
